Emergency Preparedness Guide Released!

The City of Rowlett strives to protect and safeguard every citizen and business that calls Rowlett home.  Our Fire Rescue, Police and Emergency Management divisions are better prepared than ever to respond to natural and manmade disasters.  More than 130 citizens involved in the City’s award winning Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) are ready to mobilize in a moments notice.   As prepared as the City is to respond to large scale disasters, hurricanes Katrina and Rita taught us a valuable lesson – Citizens must be equipped and prepared in the event of an emergency.

The City’s Public Safety staff, in partnership with the Rowlett Citizen Corp Council, has produced the City of Rowlett Emergency Preparedness Guide.  This comprehensive resource is designed to help the citizens of Rowlett learn how to protect themselves and their families against all types of hazards and will assist in the development of readiness initiatives for individuals, families and businesses.  Rowlett’s emergency response plan is only as strong as the individual plans developed throughout our community.
