| Fire Corps has had 7 activations in 2004, 8 in 2005, 16 in 2006, 13 in 2007, 18 in 2008, 8 in 2009, and 14 in 2010.
Rowlett CERT has had 2 activations in 2005, 1 in 2006, 2 in 2007, 2 in 2008, and 1 in 2009, and 1 in 2010. Fate CERT has had 2 activations in 2010 CONGRATULATIONS LEISA PEEBLES! Leisa was recently awarded the 2010 City of Rowlett Volunteer of the Year. Leisa is our RCCC Treasurer, but her volunteerism extends to many areas in and out of the RCCC. She is a charter member of the RCCC and an original G417 Instructor from 2003. Thanks Leisa for all you do! Midlothian G317 Class, October 16 & 23, 2010  Kudos to our Instructor Team who went to Midlothian and trained a class of 40 new CERT students to help get their program off and running! The class was very successful and now positions their program for growth and ongoing training. Fate CERT has their first activation. On Sunday, July 11, 2010 Fate CERT was activated to assist with traffic control due to a downed power line after an automobile accident. The team assisted public safety officials in redirecting traffic until Oncor was able to remove the hazard and the roadway was able to be reopened. The incident lasted around 4 hours and CERT's participation was excellent.  RARC now an Affiliated Club of the ARRL. 6/3/10 2009 RCCC Annual Report released.  The Rowlett CERT team participated in the 4th Annual Harris County CERT Rodeo on Saturday, February 20th. Our team placed second overall in the competition. Open House Saturday, February 13, 9 to noon. |
