Welcome to RARC
We are a new club formed in 2009, and as such, welcome anyone with new ideas and enthusiasm!
Monthly meetings are combinations of social events, educational opportunities, and radio-related activities. The club particularly seeks to mentor youth wanting to learn more about service to the community and amateur radio. RARC members are particularly excited to be strong supporters of Rowlett Explorer Post 1 - a youth emergency services program.
Meeting information:
The RARC meets on an alternating schedule: on the odd months, the meeting is on the 2nd Tuesday at 7pm. On the even months, the meeting will be on the 2nd Saturday at 9am. All meetings are held at the RCCC training room, 2nd floor of the Rowlett Fire/Rescue Administration building at 4701 Rowlett Road in Rowlett (NW corner of Main and Rowlett Road).
All amateur radio operators and anyone interested in radio communications are cordially welcome to join us.
General club information
Members of the club can expect to receive emails concerning programs, opportunities and events of interest to the radio community here in Rowlett, and around the Metroplex. We have a club radio station already in operation and we are awaiting word on a grant application we made to fund a repeater for the club.
